Medicare rebates explained
Medicare Rebates for Psychology
-
You may qualify for a Medicare rebate for your psychology appointment if your GP or Psychiatrist provides you with a referral under a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) or Chronic Disease Management (CDM) plan.
-
The rebate for Mental Health plan is $137.05 and for Chronic Disease Management is $58.30.
-
If you have reached Medicare Safety net then 85% of psychological services will be rebated. This would be $229.00 for both Mental Health plan (MHCP) and Chronic Disease Management (CDM).
-
Clients can utilise up to 10 Medicare sessions per calendar year (if approved by their doctor) and 5 Chronic Management sessions per calendar year.

Should you wish to utilise one of these plans you should see your GP or Psychiatrist.
We can provide quick processing of your Medicare rebate after your appointment.
